Former home of the 1880’s Danish patriot, Wilhelm Dinesen. Dinesen’s
daughter, Karen Blixen, authored the book “Out of Africa,” which was
eventually made into a major motion picture.
Inside their beautiful log building you’ll find traditional Ojibwa Art from the
Great Lakes Region: beadwork, locally-made birch bark baskets, full-size handcrafted canoes, dream catchers, quill boxes, books, music by well know Native American artists, etc. Wild rice is harvested and processed locally. Historic
